Stealing a page out of my sisters book, somehow I don’t think she’ll mind…all that much  Ladycat2020 Named: Catherine Nicknamed (and by far my preference) Cat(of course there are numerous others) Occupation: Full time university student Pre-service teacher (sometimes better known as a student teacher) Lives in: In sunny down under…in other words Australia (a place where nothing exciting seems to happen). I would love to live somewhere in Europe or maybe England (because there’s always something exciting going on there. Okay I admit I have no evidence to prove that’s actually true, but still its got to be more exciting than living in a state that the rest of Australia seems to ignore) Loves to: Read, do creative writing, doing crafty stuff – beading, scrap booking etc etc…annoying my sister (nah not really) doodle (cause I’m no artist) facebook (yes, I am addicted!), cooking, plus other stuff that I can never remember when I’m doing these about me things. Hates: People who make judgements before getting a chance to know you, mess, disorder, extremely scary movies (blood, guts, gore is not my cup of tea.) Favourite literature: Harry Potter by J.k Rowling, The Song of the Lioness Quartet and The Protector of the Small Quartet by Tamora pierce, The Black Jewels Trilogy by Anne Bishop, Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer (really only the first three though the fourth book was crap!), The Orphans of Chaos and the Fugitives of Chaos by John C Wright, plus a heap more, I could go on for hours in this department. Favourite Manga and Anime: Vampire Knight, Sailor Moon, Meru Puri, Captive Heart, Loveless (Not my normal type of Manga but my sister got me hooked!), Fruits Basket, Chobits, The Melancholy of Hurahi, Ouran High School Host club, Marmalade Boy, Rose of Versailles, La Cordo d’Orro. I think that just about covers it! Favourite Movies: Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Joan of Arc: The messenger, Merlin, Any movies based on the novels by Jane Austen, Jane Eyre, Disney movies (only the originals though…not any of the new stuff), Willow, Lady Hawke, Legends, Twilight, any historically based ones, such as The other Boylen Girl, Marie Antoinette etc etc. I can go on and on and on. Favourite quote: Don’t walk ahead of me, I may not follow Don’t walk behind me, I may not lead Walk beside me and be my friend. Catch a man a fish and you feed him for a day, Teach man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. Chinese proverb. I think that’s more than enough! I don’t really consider myself an artsy person, but I like messing around with beads and making gifts for people - necklaces, dream catchers, decorated boxes, ribbon roses etc etc...You get the drift. I guess crafty stuff is in the genes, as I come from two generations of dressmakers. One day (when I have the time) I'd like to learn how to sew and also how to make dolls (I would love to be the happy owner of a bjd, when I'm rich and have money). I probably spend more time writing stories and what have you, although I'm a coward and don’t let people read what I write - my sister is the only one, and she knows all the secrets! Keep smiling! |
